Resetting Works

Ever travelled on a highway seeing mammoth vehicles approaching from a opposite direction flooding halogen on the retina of yours? have we ever wondered why the lights blink. This can be a means of communication to acknowledge the approach. This is very true when we drive on narrow stretches. The sudden changes in the light density excites faster metabolism and enables the senses to react faster than it would have been otherwise. Whenever i sense a blur vision i jerk the head lights at different densites to get a better picture of the road ahead. This is a situation where i use relative judgement instead of a absolute one. In the language of state machines i go back to some weird sate from the original and retrieve pretty fast with enriched vigour. I can see the same substance from a different perspective and imaginations running beyond limits at times.

The plot of 'Deception Point' has used this tactic. It takes you off the foot by showing MEMS based robots feeding on light energy and magnetic fields, softwares employing IIR filters for composite density scanning of the ice in arctic circle, measuring the exact percentage of nickel content in meteorite rocks and many more hitech paradises. But the real investigation is done through a game session between the three protagonist where each is supposed to answer questions without using their previous knowledge. The questions were intriguing and answers were fascinating enough to contradict their previous theories.

Some of the instances we often comes across are a couple forgetting their differences making a new beginning, the Berlin Wall coming down in the later part of the century, the Britishers leaving the sub-continent,the Indian cricket team shinning in 20-20 in spite of a debacle in the world cup and Ganguly stroding past his critics in every games. There are hundreds of such miracles which we hear every day. This has happened because the persons concerned have tried to think out of the box. A lot of thoughts, data analysis and efforts have gone from their side.

Mind resetting game can be a tool for creating a miracle on ourselves and solve any problems given to us. Just go blank and shut your brain for a while. This will help in inflating the thoughts in all possible directions. Get back to the basics and begin yourself as a novice. Gradually you will find your blossomed intellect has become ingenious enough to take you beyond your self imposed boundaries.

Self

'The Fountain Head' has some amazing dialogues to spell out. Make it a point to read it to find out how elegantly Ayan rand shapes her characters. Until yesterday i wasn't convinced about the Roark's ideology but that of Toohey whose rational is to drag oneself to dust unlike saints, to make things easy for the fellow souls on planet. Roarks call them second handed creatures whose thoughts, dreams ambitions are shaped by other men and they are not egoists. They cannot be selfish as selfishness and egotism are the both sides of the same coin. The splendid statement goes like this:

'......Our greatest moments are personal,self-motivated, not to be touched. The things which are sacred or precious to us are the things we withdraw from promiscuous sharing.'
Some words of wisdom from Toohey for conquering the human civlization:

'
...Make man feel small. Make him feel guilty. Kill his aspiration and his integrity...
...Kill man's sense of values. Kill his capacity to recognize greatness or achieve his greatness...
... Tell them to laugh at everything..
...Dont allow men to be happy..make them feel mere fact of personal desire is evil..
... can we rule thinking men?We dont want any thinking men...

...A world where thought will not be his own but the thought borrowed from his neighbour..'
Make this your bible and the world will be at your feet.

Rand's portrayal of Roark's character is exquisite. The crux of the book is during the Roark's trial in corlandt case. Its as if one attains moksha during this part of plot.To live upto one self is the motivation of a noble soul. Be a creator and you should just be bothered about your part. The passions and love for his work will boast of his talent. In his words neverbe a parasite rather be a cause in the matter with no external dependency.

Gumped

Its movie fair again on the weekend as has been the trend since the last month. Zhedi's database gives a tough time to bang on a particlar one. This time it was 'forest gump' and 'no man's land'. Mr Gump gets into different lanes of life, and finds himself dumped at the end. I will sound no different if i agree to the fact that man can raise beyond his limitations. I remember gump's mother saying him on her death bed 'My son i was asked by God to preform the role of your Mother, I am glad that i did it well.' But for gump, his girl was his seed of motivation and he couldn't just be without her inspite of being turned off several times. This is where the plot gets hysterical and i certainly don't agree to it. Many of us must have been gumped in someway or the other and it's bullshit to dehydrate oneself for the sake of one's own emotions.

'No man's land' relieved my mind as it showcased the Serbian Bosnian war satirically. Neither the military nor the official machinery gives a damn to people's suffering and there's a big gap when one tries to conceive things at a macro level. Certainly i will love to play the character of Ciki some day.

Clock Ticks

Time machine waits for none and clock keeps ticking. Last year had been a great learning experience where the mantra was to think differently and to expand one's latitude with a clear vision.A new year heralds with this dawn. Every thing is still the same the city, the roads, the work, the friends. With new hopes and expectations i dream to strive forward aiming for a purpose beyond the self.

Sand and the Sea

The ride was a bumpy one thanks to the road less travelled. At 8A.M i got to capture the sight of the sea, the calm water absorbing the warmth of the brisk sun. It was a great feeling to watch the vast sea so humble which had made the sight filled it serenity and made me forgot the jerks i had gone through during the last fourteen hours. The banana ride was awesome with a group of people fighting out against the human's intervention into the sea. Swiming on the sea along with dolphins is the one i will cherish forever and spasm was so vibrant which made me dive to 30 feet deep waters in no time. There exists a world outside that of ours which is beyond the reach of our conscience. The journey catalysed my exposure towards the facts which were unseen and were not even thought of and gave me a sense of satisfaction for reaching so far.

December Winter

It's december and time to do something different before 07 passes by.No glance of sun for the past couple of days and winter everywhere, bitten by the cold skin tries to soothe in the warmth of the sun. All set for the travel on a chilly night, of course taking pride at my efforts for gathering the basic amenities to equip myself for the weekend trip and hopping around the streets for one dayer items. Let's see whats the ride has to give.

Legacy ditched

'Change is a constant phenomenon ' has been the philosophy in many of our lives. Being a circuit designer the blatant example that strikes me is Moore's law which has become a bible for the semiconductor industry. It says more computing, more functionality for the same chip size in one and half year.(read more as double) World is changing every second and one needs to be highly adaptive. There would be times when i suddenly have to go from a slow track to high gears. With lot of variables ranging from relationships, finance, religion etc one cant channel all of them as per expectations. The call of the hour is to do things differently like say you need to be a saint in one and a killer in another. The rich dad's advice comes in handy and logical approach is doubted for being a loyal poor dad's son all these days.

Road rash

Has been a couple of months i have been biking. Riding skills are put to test when traffic crawls at turtle speed on a criss cross corner. In spite of adhering to the rules i have been interrupted by men in white couple of times for document check up. one fine Sunday morning i had been driving on a highway and wind gushing at me at 60 miles an hour. Almost moving ahead of every engine i came across i was at a all time high taking pride on my driving skills. Suddenly a man rode past me on his Harley Davidson out from nowhere. My egoism didn't allow me to accept it and i speeded up just to put him back again. He could sense it and blasted his throttle to the maximum. After a thirty minute chase i had to give in as i could see him drifting away smoothly and taking turns at acute angles. Seeing his dark tyres fading into the oblivion i felt myself a novice in the game. This ride deepened my ambivalence regarding my driving skills and i had a lesson to take from it.Driving is not only about torque and horse power but also an art. It has a lot of calculation buried in it and is much beyond mere sprinting. From a different tone "Succumbing to a Road rage is a litmus test for one's own emotions and a tool to assess one's own pshycological stability and has the potential to make you a unbalanced spirit"

Good Morning Sir

Early morning hours at office, i was at the peak of a discussion. Suddenly cell rings and i hear a sweet voice saying 'Good morning sir, this is asterick calling from maverick would you like to go for our bla bla scheme' .hell freezed over and shrugging my shoulders i blasted. It was completely satirical and never did i give a second thought to this inhumane behavior. Couple of days later i stumbled upon a failure at work and feeling low and was in a state of despondency. They say 'failure makes you humble', i felt a longingness for the sweet voice and promised myself never to be the same again.

Hypocrisy

Often we encounter situations where we try to establish an unsaid superiority. well this takes a great toll on our thinking. we tend to go by tangentially without having to dive deep enough. This seems to be a useless braggadocio. The whole dynamics bring out the flaw in us which is invisible to a naked eye,i mean it's difficult unless we come out of the self. The prey to it is the analytical part of your brain which has endured to proselytizing. To have a clear thinking one cannot be a hypocrite. But many a times one gets paranoid and with a slur vision things just doesnt swing to his side.

Rare

Time and again makes me think why is it that we crave for speed. Can see people bullying into various acts just for the sake of sanity. But as they say sanity is statistical and hit out ones keeps on saying it as a mockery of evolution
